Join us for the Private View of the Crickhowell Open Art Competition 2019 at Oriel Cric Gallery in Crickhowell

on Friday 24th May from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.

 

 

This piece 'Cowbridge Mart in February', oils on canvas, has been accepted for the exhibiton and will be hanging alongside a varied selection of work until 8th July 2019.

SPORTS HORSE GB

 

It gave me great pleasure to present Hannah Iddeson with an oil painting of her home-bred youngster, Verona's Buddy B Good, at the Sports Horse Breeding of Great Britain AGM last week.

 

This smashing Sports Horse won the new Breeders Cup Championship at the 2018 National Hunter Championship Show in Addington. Congratulations Hannah and I hope you like the painting.

PROMOTION

 

I am delighted to share that I was promoted to

Associate Member of the Society of Equestrian Artists at the 2019 Annual AGM in Newmarket last week.

 

The Society was founded in 1979 under the Chairmanship of Norman Hoad, a notable equestrian and aviation artist.  It exists to promote the practice of equestrian painting and sculpture and to advance public education and appreciation of this art, and seeks to achieve these aims by:

* Arranging public exhibitions
* Holding workshops and development sessions
* Encouraging, through mutual criticism, discussion and example, the highest levels of artistic competence
* Showcasing members' works through its website
